Bridging the chasm from where boys are to where men should be
WHO WE ARE
The ChASM Project establishes and operates Christian alternative schools serving young men ages 11-18 throughout the United States.
We ENVISION A FUTURE where boys on the path to destruction fulfill God’s glorious purposes for their lives as husbands, fathers, and leaders.
OUR MISSION IS to bridge the chasm between where boys are and where men should be.
WHO WE SERVE
We accept fatherless boys who are heading in the wrong direction with:
-
Academic problems
-
Behavioral issues
-
Criminal involvement, and a
-
Desire for a better future.
HOW WE SERVE

We introduce them to Jesus and the Holy Spirit, and provide a robust, Christ-centered education of their spirits, minds, and bodies. Our individualized curriculum helps fill in gaps in students' foundational knowledge and accelerate their learning. ChASM scholars study the Bible, civics, history, language, math, science, and a full spectrum of elective offerings. Beyond these academic offerings, we immerse them in Kingdom culture and disciple them into the strong Christian men—husbands, fathers, and leaders—who God created them to be.
While doing this, we teach them to be functional citizens
and prepare them for life beyond graduation in one of four pathways:
-
Employment with a reliable corporation,
-
Enlistment in the armed forces,
-
Enrollment in an institute of higher learning, or
-
Entrepreneurs with a strong plan for success.
Through this process, the ChASM Project will shatter the school-to-prison pipeline, raise up godly men, and transform families, communities, and our nation for generations.
WHY WE SERVE
-
Communities across the United States are suffering from crime and violence.
-
Young men are terrorizing the communities they should be leading and serving.
-
Young men are in morgues, prisons, rehabilitation clinics, and street gangs, when they should be leading businesses, communities, families, and ministries.
-
When saved, sanctified, and set ablaze for the Kingdom, these same men can transform their families, communities, and nation.

A Note from Matt Garris,
ChASM Project's Founder & President
There is full-fledged demonic warfare raging against biblical manhood right now, and the ultimate goal of this assault is young men. Never in human history have the corporate, educational, entertainment, media, political, and social spheres united so fiercely as in this current onslaught, which is hell-bent on destroying marriage, procreation, the nuclear family, and masculinity.
Today’s young men are under intense attack, and the institutions that once protected them are largely unable or unwilling to help. The result is tragic.
Marriage is in decline, fatherlessness is the new normal, and the biggest influencers are glamorizing abortion, drug use, homosexuality, promiscuity, transgenderism, street culture, and violence. Gangs now gather around crime scenes when families should be gathered around the dinner table. Men who should be leading families, churches, businesses, and communities are too often found in morgues, prisons, and shelters.
It should not be this way, and it is time to intervene. Every abortion, every murder, every overdose, and every crime represents an unrealized opportunity to help. Alternatively, every young man saved, sanctified, Spirit-filled, and set ablaze for the Kingdom represents the decrease of these evils.
For too long, American Christians have sat silently on the sidelines, wishing that someone would do something. But this generation cannot afford for us to wait. With every moment we delay, more lives are lost.
It’s time for the body of Christ to arise, shine forth the glorious light of Jesus, be strong and of good courage, and get to work!
Join us.
In Christ,
