Forever Changed

Sometimes it's hard to know when winter ends and spring begins, especially in places where the temperature gets close to 80 in February and it snows in April. There is astronomical spring, meteorological spring, and don't forget the predictions of the famous groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil.

So when does spring really start? Personally, when the first trees blossom, I know that it's spring. That's a milestone, and the weather will generally continue to be spring-like from that point forward.

Life is full of milestones: occasions that mark the points when our lives are forever changed. The day I left home for the Marine Corps marked a permanent change in my life, as did the day I got married, and the day I became a father. One day (many, many, many years from now), I'll walk my last daughter down the aisle to give her away, and my life will again be different.

In a few months, ten young men will encounter such a milestone as they walk into a school year like no other. Their lives will be forever changed by

  • the love of Jesus,

  • the power of the Holy Spirit,

  • godly male role models who mentor them because they truly care,

  • a curriculum that finally meets their learning needs, and

  • a lifelong brotherhood forged in this season of radical transformation.

From that day forward, their lives will be on a permanently different course. They will never be the same again, and that's a good thing.

So much of the joy of parenting and teaching comes from helping others experience these milestones. When you pray for and support the ChASM Project, you get to share in that joy as you help these young men experience such a tremendously important milestone in their lives. They will be FOREVER CHANGED, and you can be part of it! Together, we're bridging the chasm!
