Part of God's Plan

My church recently hosted a major tent revival. I estimate that a few thousand people were there over the course of a few days. They came from all over the United States, and from other countries as well. Under the tent, they encountered the presence of God, experienced miraculous healings, and had their lives forever changed. We were filled with awe, gratitude, and great joy to see what the Lord did in our midst. It was so exciting to be part of God's plan for revival in our city, state, region, and nation.

Can I let you in on a little insider secret? Such an event does not simply "happen." The tent did not fall out of the sky and land, by divine appointment, upright and fully assembled on top of rows of chairs that had somehow grown out of a miraculously flat acre of land. This event took work, and lots of it. There was spiritual work and physical work. On the spiritual side, this revival was birthed out of decades of prayer, and we fasted each day, seeking God's power and presence during our worship each night. On the physical side, we had to purchase the land, clear the land, grade the land, open the driveway, bring in the trucks, unload the equipment, roll out the turf, set up the tent, build the stage, set out the chairs, set up the sound and video equipment, park the cars, clean the bathrooms, and perform a lot of other jobs along the way.

This revival was God's plan, but it required human cooperation to make it a reality in the earth. He graciously allows us to work alongside Him to accomplish His will in our world. The ChASM Project is also God's plan, and He has allowed you and me to be part of His transformative plan for the lives of the boys we serve. It requires physical and spiritual work, but the fruit of these labors is of eternal value. I am blessed to be a part of what God is doing through the ChASM Project, and I hope you feel the same way.
